If it looks like a fit, the next step is a short scoping conversation where the scope and the timeline get set. Every reporting system is a different amount of work, so we set the real date in scoping rather than printing a guess here. Scoping is also where you find out whether you need a consultant at all. If the report is already built and you plan to make the edits yourself, the smaller Report Design Direction probably covers it.
Then I do the design work in native Excel and hand back a finished workbook your team can edit without me.
